Well, it was interesting in the fact of its uneventfulness, and its extreme predictability of the events which unfolded before me- one of us was in deep angst, one of us was either very very happy(unusually so) or in deep miss for current new squeeze, one of us was dressed as zorro, less said the better, and one of us (hello shadow reader, you know who you are- who never comments!)Pushed an issue which will never be resolved I feel to his satisfaction.
Saw Matt's nemisis, who was graceful and kept herself to herself- no faulting the behaviour there.
bought lots of ugly Whitby lucky ducks(I'm sure there is a joke in there, but really can't be bothered!)
Spent stupid amounts of money(again)on alcohol, but did have a couple of really nice meals, I can recomend the curry house in the station, and a little bistro in an ally somewhere who do the most delicious brioch and goats cheese starter drizzled in spiced olive oil!(I cant tell you what its called, but Im sure card0 will be able to)
I will not be going to Whitby next year, or maybe for a couple of years until everyone in deep and itter angst can remember how to have fun even if just for a moment, as I feel it would be £500 better spent else where!
I am currently applying for residency in New zealand, I need 100points minimum to be eligable, and hey guess what? I have 95, typical!
So unless I finish at least two years of this new psycology degree, or have a firm offer of employment in NZ I am still stuck to residency in the UK.
Why NZ you ask?
Because it is clean, it is distant, it has a minimal history of violence, it has a great education system, those of you close to me know why that is really very important,it has a reasonable NHS style of health care, and above all NZ is really rather picky about who moves in and emigrates there, just the way lil' ol' aloof me likes it!
I am going there next year to investigate possibilities, and if poss intend to be there permanently within 18months to two and a half years, so a bit of a long term plan going on there!
Why not go back home? Because we have to send all our kids to other countries to be properly educated, because it is gradually being taken over by brit ex-pats(sorry folks but it is) because there is no pride in the heratidge of my people, and because it is dangerous, messy, dirty, impoverished, and always involved in violence of some sort and because my family like to think that they are part of the new spanish mafioso!
Reasons enough I think!
well, still alone, still quite happy about it, the subject of my unrequited love will never return it, so I am getting over that old chestnut!
Looking to the future, I intend to finish the psycology 'thing'go towards masters in this subject, poss Doctorate and start over properly and for good, in a country where I can be aloof as I like, where I need make no effort or pretence of fitting in, and where I have no former history- vive le roi!!(or other such random rubbish)
